OVERVIEW

How might we create a centralized reporting experience that gives teams real-time, role-specific insights?

Honeywell’s WES (Warehouse Execution System) provided world-class automation and fulfillment capabilities—but lacked a built-in reporting solution. Clients had to rely on third-party tools, manually integrating them to access insights. We set out to create a native, role-based reporting experience that delivered real-time data without the friction of external systems.

Honeywell’s WES had powerful automation but no built-in reporting. We designed a native, real-time dashboard to eliminate third-party tools and manual work.

IMPACT

WES overall engagement increased by 15%, mobile views improved tracking for regional and remote leaders

CHALLENGE

Clients juggled disconnected systems and spent hours exporting data due to limited dashboard customization.
With no visual insights, clients wasted hours managing disjointed systems.

Honeywell didn’t offer an all-in-one reporting platform. Clients were forced to:

  • Utilize third-party analytics tools along with WES

  • Navigate multiple disconnected systems to access insights

  • Manually export and manipulate data, slowing down decision-making

  • Work without role-specific dashboards, leading to noise and inefficiency

This fragmented workflow led to slower operations and reduced visibility across the fulfillment floor, along with a missed opportunity for Honeywell.

Users lacked a single source of truth. They pieced together insights from third-party tools, manual exports, and disconnected systems — slowing decisions and reducing operational clarity. Users had to:

  • Utilize third-party analytics tools along with WES

DESIGN STRATEGY

Tailored reports by role, cleaned up views, and filtered out the clutter.

Starting with user interviews and internal analytics reviews, we:

  • Mapped out primary roles and their data needs

  • Introduced preconfigured reporting widgets and smart filters

  • Built responsive views for tablet and mobile

SOLUTION

A centralized platform that delivers real-time insights without the manual lift

A powerful, modular dashboard tailored to our key stakeholders:

  • Managers see shift-level labor data and productivity trends

  • Execs get financial efficiency and throughput metrics

  • Supervisors view task breakdowns and staff performance

  • Reports load in real time, with performance boosts across devices
